About Newsom Healthcare

Newsom Healthcare was founded in October 2008 in Horn Lake, Mississippi by Sandra Newsom, MSN, FNP-BC who had a concept for a family clinic that focuses on individualized care for everyone in the community.

Sandra was raised in Mississippi and is dedicated to improving the health and well being of the population. She is motivated by a desire to improve the health knowledge and medical outcomes of her patients and has more than twenty-five years of combined service experience in education and nursing.

Sandra has a twelve year history of participation in programs that provide healthcare to the indigent, uninsured, Medicare and Medicaid populations. She served as Compliance Officer of a Community Health Center where she developed and implemented quality systems that focused on improving the health of patients. For two years Sandra was the sole provider of a clinic for the uninsured of Desoto County.
